The young Russian band DOM VETROV (House Of Winds) delivers an original blend of hard rock, heavy metal and Scandinavian folk. The band is much in demand on Moscow club stages thanks to its catching music and an original pirate show. Conceptually DOM VETROV is a virtual crew of pirate ship traveling around the world through its songs about magical universes and real people, adventures, good and evil… Founded in the beginning of 2004, the band was forming its stable line-up until the summer of 2005. Soon the musicians became participants of an important ethno-festival, made their debut on local TV and recorded the first single. In the spring of 2006 DOM VETROV started the recording of its debut album. Despite of a few more line-up changes and some delays the CD was recorded and mastered in Spain. In the summer 2006 the band invited the bass player Nokolai Korshunov (also Arteria, Krematori and Butterfly Temple). Since 2008 the new drummer Alexei Bykov (Mongol Shuudan) began to work with DOM VETROV. The band is an active live act, participant of the important FOLK BEZUMIE festival and even an organizer of its own festival called Pirate New Year. Besides traditional rock instruments the band actively uses violins, viola, cello. |
