MIRIAM (TOL MIRIAM) was founded in 2002 by Russian female singer, poet and composer Helena Khanpira. She started to write poems studying in the secondary school. Since 1997 she has started to perform her own songs on stage. Helena also gives vocals lessons and works at the musicals.
In 2002 Helena (aka Miriam) decided to establish a real band and it was done. The lion share of the band's material is the stuff created by Helena and it also includes some parts of European folk music. The main attractions of MIRIAM are the great live sound, the magical voice of Helena and good songs. The band is a frequent guest at the fantasy festivals and events.
