FORSAGE is a new Russian band formed by a few experienced musicians well-known due to such rock and metal acts as ARTERIA, CHARISMA, ARDA, VOLNAYA STAYA, SHADOW HOST and Margarita Pushkina’s DINASTIA POSVYASCHYONNYKH. The eclectic, up-to-date style of the band combines a great variety of elements taken from other genres.
The official date of establishing of a Russian Moscow rock band FOURSAGE can be considered the 5th of January 2009 when vocalist Sergey Sergeyev (ex GULFSTREAM, SHADOW HOST and SANTA MARIA; participant of Margarita Pushkina’s project DINASTIA POSVYASCHYONNYKH) and guitarist Vyacheslav Selin (SLAVIC SELIN) left Sergey Terentyev’s ARTERIA. The final line-up of the band was formed in 2009, when drummer Vladislav Alexeenko (ex ARDA and CHARISMA) and female bassist Marina Malakhova (also VOLNAYA STAYA) joined the band.
The new century asks for new creative ideas, and there is always enough space to search for the new ways and matters in the field of Russian rock music. FOURSAGE has successfully completed their search for the new form and sound. The eclectic style of the band combines a great variety of elements taken from other genres. FOURSAGE’s songs contain elements of various styles and movements that blend together into such a harmonious mixture that can be a topic for a long dispute over the band’s style both among heavy metal fans and musical critics. As for FOURSAGE musicians themselves, they decided to call their unique style “foursage rock”.
