| | | DARTZ | Proxima Parada | Cat. №: | 2009 [CD-Maximum][Folk] | This folk-rock band from St.-Petersburg tried to open a new page in its history with this album. Here the musicians created a special conception and they used arrangements unexpected by their fans. The material of this album became the base for a spectacular live performance but even listening only to the music is worth the while. This time DARTZ gave up using Celtic folklore elements, so much common for folk rock in general. They preferred to deal with the folk legacy of Mediterranean peoples and used Spanish, French and Italian melodies. And what became a real surprise is that they actively turn to Arabian musical traditions. No wonder, since we are to remember that Medieval Arabian culture influenced European art and science a lot in times of Arabian conquest in Europe, of the modern territory of Spain. Beautiful music with some surrealistic atmosphere which reminds the painting of legendary Salvador Dali. | [View details.. ] |
