The current leaders of Russian pagan metal scene Butterfly Temple worked hard playing shows and recording demos in order to begin the recording of their first official full-length album! In October 1998 the dream came true: the band entered studio to start working at its sensacional debut CD "Veles". For this album the musicians chose the name of the ancient Slavonic god in order to emphasize their connection with thousands of years of the history of their Motherland. And actually, this album became a real contribution to Russian national culture. All the compositions created by the band itself are really individual, and this material has nothing to do with any metal stuff created outside Russia. It's true Russian folk/pagan metal with interesting melodies, tons of keyboard parts and various types of the vocals. |
