VICONT is another recently formed Russian band, it consists of a few young and ambitious musicians from the city Perm located in the center of Russia. It was founded in the March 2007 and during the first two years of its existence the band recorded two demos, shared the stage with such “grands” of Russian metal as CATHARSIS and ARDA, won the local rock contest ROCKING, and got the opportunity to play in many cities around Russia including Moscow. And undoubtedly, the most important achievement of this debutant of Russian metal scene was the professional recording in one of the best studios in Moscow GIGANT Records with ARIA’s sound engineer Sergei Naumenko. Moreover, one of the songs was recorded as a duet of VICONT’s vocalist Sergei Sokol and ARIA’s frontman Arthur Berkut. The main idea of the band is a positive creative strike from stage, energy and excitement, power and courage, desire for freedom and accepting the challenge. |
